Madrid, February 14, 2024. Plenoil consolidates its position as the leading company in the automatic service station sector by tripling both its annual liters sold and its revenue in just two years. Thus, the company has gone from 325 million euros in 2021 to an annual revenue of over 1.1 billion euros (excluding VAT) in 2023. Furthermore, in the last fiscal year, Plenoil sold over 970 million liters, representing a 40% increase in fuel sales compared to the previous year.
The company, founded in 2013, reaffirms itself as the leader in the low-cost sector in Spain. In 2023, it recorded more than 40 million refuelings, reaching in the last months a sale of over 130,000 refuelings per day.
With more than 600 employees on its staff, Plenoil also establishes itself as a leading company in terms of revenue, significantly surpassing the figures of 2021 (325) and 2022 (970), resulting in the achievement of a record profit in the last fiscal year.
Furthermore, Plenoil’s network of stations continues to expand at an increasingly rapid pace. In 2023, he company opened 68 new stations, concentrating almost half of the new gas stations in Spain in the last year, resulting in a new Plenoil gas station nearly every five days. Thus, the company has become the distribution company that has carried out the most new construction openings in Spain in a single year.
Thanks to this growth, Plenoil Plenoil has expanded its network to reach 224 gas stations in Spain, consolidating its position as the low-cost sector company with the largest regional presence in the national territory, including the Balearic and Canary Islands archipelagos. The regions with the highest number of Plenoil automated stations are Andalusia, with 55 stations; the Valencian Community, with 54; and the Community of Madrid, with 35 operational stations.
In the next twelve months, the company aims to achieve having 300 gas stations, begin operations in Portugal, and promote the deployment of electric vehicle (EV) chargers in over 75% of its station network. Thus, Plenoil aims to reach 500 operational sales points by the end of 2027.
