Madrid, September 12, 2023 Plenoil, a leading company in the automatic service station sector, announces its incorporation into the Spanish Confederation of Business Organizations (CEOE) as part of its commitment to work alongside other companies and organizations in the search for innovative and responsible solutions for the Spanish energy sector. This commitment makes Plenoil the first company in the automatic service station sector to be part of the business organization.
Plenoil’s inclusion in CEOE comes at a time of business growth, with expectations to reach €1.2 billion by the end of 2023, having achieved a turnover of over €500 million (excluding VAT) in the first half of the year. Furthermore, the company has recently announced its expansion into Portugal as an opportunity to enter other international markets in the coming months.
Entry into the business organization allows Plenoil to strengthen its positioning and institutional relationships, as well as channel its most recent project, ‘Possible Transition‘, a listening space where society, companies, and institutions can dialogue and jointly seek solutions to the challenges posed by the energy transition.
José Rodríguez de Arellano, CEO de Plenoil, has expressed his satisfaction in joining CEOE, reaffirming “…the company’s commitment to working hand in hand with other companies and organizations in designing policies that promote business competitiveness and environmental respect, to engage in conversations and provide solutions to other productive sectors where rising fuel prices directly impact their productivity.”
On his part, the President of CEOE, Antonio Garamendi, has stated that “The inclusion of a company of Plenoil’s stature in our organization, which has nearly 200 operational gas stations throughout Spain serving more than 2.5 million customers per month, is always great news.”
Plenoil’s inclusion in CEOE represents an opportunity to strengthen the presence of the energy sector in the business environment and in dialogue with institutions and the government. Both organizations will work together to promote innovation, investment, and sustainable development in the energy sector, thus contributing to the progress and well-being of Spanish society.
